Latest PESU Admission 2026 Updates
For the 2026 academic year, PES University will no longer conduct PESSAT for B.Tech admissions. Admission to B.Tech courses is now based on JEE Main and KCET scores only. The BTech programme is offered at both PES University Ring Road Campus and PES University Electronic City Campus, and candidates must apply separately for the 45% PESU Merit Quota through the university's independent admission process — in addition to their KCET or JEE Main application.
KCET Counselling 2026 has been postponed due to a delay in seat matrix approval, with the portal expected to go live on or after June 13, 2026. Meanwhile, PES University's own BTech admission registration deadline has been extended to June 30, 2026.
PESU Admission 2026 – Routes Available
Karnataka CET candidates appear for the KCET entrance test and attend government counselling, while PESU Merit Quota candidates using a JEE Main or KCET score must register separately for B.Tech at admissions.pes.edu, and will be considered through the university's own counselling process. A Higher Fee Category, or Management Quota, seat can also be pre-booked by contacting the PES University Office of Admissions directly.
1. KCET (Karnataka Examinations Authority)For Karnataka domicile students, this is the most affordable route. KCET ranks are followed by KEA counselling.
2. JEE Main – PESU Merit QuotaAdmission is also based on JEE Main score, followed by PESU JEE Counselling. This route covers the university's independent merit quota and is open to students from any state.
3. Higher Fee Category / Management QuotaA seat can be pre-booked directly with PES University's admissions office. This route still requires a valid KCET or JEE Main score on file. Contact FCG at 9342706070 for guidance on availability and process.
PESU Eligibility Criteria for BTech 2026
Candidates need 10+2 (Science stream) with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. A valid KCET or JEE Main score is mandatory for all admission categories, including management quota.
