PES University Bangalore Admission

Admission to PESIT College of Engineering is contingent upon meeting the eligibility criteria set by the University. Forty percent of the total undergraduate engineering seats at PES University are reserved for CET Students. (Only Karnataka Domicile / Students residing in Karnataka for 7 years are eligible to take the CET Entrance examination). For the remaining sixty percent, PES University follows this selection process: AIEEE Counselling (Centralised) is not available for admission. Minimum eligibility to apply at PES University varies for different courses; for some, there is no minimum cut-off. For specific eligibility details for each course, students are advised to refer to the university prospectus.

Admission Process: To gain admission to PES University, students must appear for the PESSAT common entrance test, which is applicable to all courses. However, students who have taken a national-level entrance exam are also encouraged to apply.

PESIT Entrance Exam: Appearance in any one of the PESIT Bangalore entrance exams is mandatory for admission.

Eligibility Criteria:

The minimum eligibility requirement to apply at PES University is as follows:

For undergraduate (UG) courses: 60% marks in class XII from a recognized board/university.
For postgraduate (PG) courses: 50% in graduation from a recognized university.
While some courses do not have a minimum cut-off requirement, students are advised to refer to the university prospectus for specific eligibility details for each course.

Admission Process:

To gain admission to PES University, students must take the PESSAT common entrance test, which is applicable to all courses. However, students who have taken a national-level entrance exam are also welcome to apply.

PESIT Entrance Exam:

Appearing in any one of the PESIT Bangalore entrance exams is mandatory for admission.



After completing PESSAT, candidates are required to attend a brief interview. Final admission decisions will be based on the overall performance of the candidates.

Application Fee:

  • The fee structure of PES University Bangalore does not include the college application fee.

  • Payment of the application fee/entrance exam fee of Rs 1050 can be made online through credit/debit card or net banking.

  • Demand drafts and bank challans are also accepted. To pay via bank challan, candidates must print both the application form and bank challan from the PES University website and take them to the nearest bank to make the payment.

  • The student must submit the application form and stamped bank challan paper to the university. For payment via demand draft, the candidate should make the DD payable to PES University General Fund, payable at Bangalore. The duly filled application form and DD/Bank Challan should be sent to the address provided.

Admit Card:
The admit cards are dispatched a few days before the PESSAT entrance exam. Registered candidates can download their admit cards from the official
website by entering login ID and password.
