Admission procedures at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering vary depending on the course. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs including B.E. or B.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Sc., and Ph.D. Admission processes are overseen by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) for all courses.

 

For B.E./B.Tech programs:

- Applicants must excel in entrance exams such as CET (KCET), COMEDK, or JEE.
- Meritorious ranking is considered during admission.
- Candidates should have 45% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent, with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and biology/computer science/electronics.

For M.Tech programs:

- Candidates must hold a B.Tech or equivalent degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognized university.
- Passing PGCET/GATE with a valid score is required.
- Candidates need to appear in a written test conducted by the university.

For M.Sc./Ph.D. programs:

- Admission is based on a synopsis for Ph.D., ULRAT Test, and an interview conducted by VTU for affiliated research centers.
- Candidates must hold an M.Tech from VTU or an equivalent degree recognized by VTU.
- They should be B.E. graduates with research or work experience, preferably with a patent.
- Eligible applicants will undergo a written test, followed by an interview. Admission is based on performance in the interview.
