The Department of Placement & Training at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, established in 1997 with support from various organizations, facilitates the recruitment of engineers/technocrats and GETs/PGETs for entry-level positions. Initially, around 47 organizations participated in the placement process, but the number has now increased to 378 organizations for the 2016 batch.

The placement process attracts numerous companies each year to conduct recruitment drives for eligible and outstanding students.
