BNM Institute of Technology extends its invitation to young aspirants from across India and abroad. Each year, the institute receives thousands of applications for its courses, with admissions managed by a dedicated admission department.
The admission department is responsible for promoting admission-related activities, scrutinizing applications, shortlisting candidates, and organizing the selection process. They also assist students and guardians in understanding the policies and procedures of BNM Institute of Technology.
Shortlisted students who wish to join must adhere to the rules and regulations set by the admission department, and the final selection decisions made by the department are conclusive.
The admission process comprises two distinct phases: eligibility criteria verification and the selection process. The eligibility criteria for all engineering courses are established under the guidance of VTU, Belgaum. Candidates are shortlisted based on their applications and verification of eligibility criteria.

For B.E. Courses:

Admissions are open to students who have passed the two-year Pre-University Examination (Science) conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board or the 10+2 School program of the Central Board (CBSE/ICSE), or any other examinations recognized by VTU as equivalent.

Candidates applying from outside Karnataka must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from VTU, Belgaum.

VTU periodically determines all relevant details regarding academic eligibility, recognized equivalent courses for admissions, and recognized institutions.
The admissions procedure for the MBA program at BNMIT is as follows:

Applicants must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in any stream of Commerce, Arts, Science, Business Management, Law, Agriculture, or Engineering disciplines to be eligible for admission to the MBA program.

Students must appear for the PGCET/K-MAT/CAT/MAT entrance exam. 50% of the seats are allotted based on the scores obtained in these entrance tests through Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) counselling.

The remaining 50% of the seats are filled through the Management Quota, based on entrance test rankings. Undergraduate scores will also be taken into consideration for merit.
