RV College of Engineering

RV College of Engineering Admission

RV College of Engineering (RVCE) is celebrated for its dynamic and supportive admissions department, renowned for easing students through the admissions process with exceptional care and attention. The college’s global appeal is a testament to its ability to attract outstanding talent from around the world.

As a distinguished private co-educational institution, RVCE offers a plethora of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across various specializations. Admissions at RVCE adhere to the norms set by the Government of Karnataka. For local students, admission to undergraduate programs is contingent upon their scores in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET), administered by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Non-local students are evaluated based on their performance in the Comed-K examination. The seat allocation is merit-based, with 45% filled through CET, 30% through COMED-K, and the remaining 25% reserved for the management quota. CET is accessible to students who have been Karnataka residents for over seven years, while Comed-K is open to all aspirants.

The admission process for RVCE’s undergraduate programs hinges on the results of entrance exams such as KCET, JEE Mains, Comed-K, and the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination. For postgraduate programs like M.Tech and MBA, student admissions are based on their GATE and Karnataka PGCET scores, with 80% of seats reserved for these test-takers and 20% for the management quota.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Programs:

  • General category students must secure a minimum aggregate score, with a 5% relaxation for reserved categories.

  • Participation in one of the recognized entrance exams is mandatory.

  • Students from the Karnataka State Open University are ineligible, and AIEEE counseling is not an admission pathway.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech and MCA Programs:

  • For M.Tech, candidates need a Bachelor of Engineering degree in a related field.

  • MCA aspirants must hold a BCA degree or a graduation in a related discipline with Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Applications, or Computer Science as a major subject. The minimum aggregate is 50% for the general category and 45% for reserved categories.

RVCE’s administrative team diligently oversees the admission process, fee payments, scholarship awards, and final student admissions. The college prides itself on its highly qualified faculty who contribute to research and development for industry and defense sectors. Emphasizing professionalism, integrity, innovation, commitment, and teamwork, RVCE is dedicated to fostering sustainable and inclusive technology through its leadership in technical education, research, and innovation.
